Copycat: white trend

Topshop Premium £36

How gorgeous are these white lace shorts from Topshop Premium. Their length means they will provide a decent cover up for daily wear and will flatter most leg shapes. They would also look lovely with a long t shirt layered over the top, letting the lace peek out at the bottom. You can buy them here for £36.

They fit in beautifully with the white (lace and crochet) trend that was all over the catwalks this season, see my 'It's all white' blog post here.

Net-a-Porter offices

I've always wondered what it'd be like to work at Net-a-Porter, I love their website and the editorial is excellent...Having interned at Topshop I expected it to be big, but this office is immense! I love the open plan and can imagine the buzz of working here. I really would love to work for an online fashion retailer, I think the pace must be a real challenge and I like the instantaneous nature of working on the internet. You can make a mark or create a buzz around something in seconds, with just a simple picture!

John Lewis Spring 2011 campaignfeaturing Coco Rocha

Coco Rocha has been brought in for the latest John Lewis fashion campaign (I always seem to blog about John Lewis's ads, but I think they really get it right every time). This time, the Spring campaign was shot in snowy Prague! In the videos Coco talks of being freezing in skimpy dresses while a snowstorm blew outside (they filmed in December)....Elegant Mad-Men styling and a beautiful set design and photography combine to make a very strong and credible campaign for the department store.

PLUS...news has just landed that they are going to offer a timeless refund, this can only be a good thing!

Pleats please!

I've been blogging about pleats for weeks. But there's something just so feminine and playful about these flirty skirts. This cream one from River Island would be gorgeous layered with thick tights like in the Guardian editorial I blogged about here and a silky shirt.

It would also look good in the summer months styled like the girls from Never Fully Dressed on ASOS marketplace, my new and exciting find. (It's like a posh version of eBay with streetstyle item photos and, seemingly, no catches!).

Amazing florals shoot from the Observer on Sunday designed by Helen Seamons. The digital effects are amazing as are the choices of dresses, particularly the Erdem piece. You know that change is afoot when ultimate skinny jean queen (and Editor-in-Chief of Paris Vogue) dons a pair of bootleg flares. In line with the 1970s trend dominating Spring/Summer collections everywhere, the bootleg has become a wardrobe staple again and deep, dark indigo is the Fashion Editors' style of choice. However, Alt is not the only one to adopt this trend; Kate Moss and Olivia Palermo have been spotted in bootleg cuts and they look great.

Does this mean then that bootleg flares are best suited to the spindly legs of the fashion famous? In fact, bootleg jeans are one of the only fits that look good on anyone (I know that much from my stint at Gap) and are especially flattering in dark navy. I particularly like this dark pair from Topshop, £42.

Have just pre-ordered this gorgeous nude pleated Jovonna maxi skirt on Pret-a-Portobello to wear with loose tops in neutral and bright colours throughout the summer. Like the Whistles 'Carrie' skirt, it's been so popular the first batch has already sold out! I like the idea of pairing nudes with nudes as in the Chloe SS11 collection.
