Free 'p' star, 61 Rue de la Verrerie, 75004

A veritable jumble sale, but likely to find some interesting bits among the piles of clothes and in the 1 euro boxes. I found my friend a great washed denim shirt for 10 euros.

Free 'p' star, 8 Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, 75004

Mixture of cheap vintage clothes, with boxes of vintage pieces that cost next to nothing to rummage through.

Fripirium, 2 Rue de la Verrerie, 75004  

 Standard, small vintage shop. Very tight and difficult to get around, but some nice things. A lovely collection of wedding-style dresses 50-100 euros and some wonderful vintage bathing suits.

Noir Kennedy, 22 Rue Roi de Sicile, 75004 

A fantastic, well-organised vintage-mixed-with-modern boutique with no street sign so you could easily walk past. The décor is morbid and rock and roll with sporadically placed coffin propped around the shop. I found a fantastic beaded top for 15 euros here. Great selection of on-trend carefully selected pieces that vary with the seasons.

Le Verger du Prince/King of Frip, 33 Rue Roi de Sicile, 75004

Too "jumble sale" for the faint-hearted. Rails upon rails of pretty average old clothes. I spotted no real gems and didn't have the energy to hunt. 

Mamz'elle Swing, 35 Rue Roi de Sicile, 75004

A little gem that could easily be bypassed. Authentic vintage pieces from the 1930s to the present day. A wonderful selection of dresses, I was tempted by an adorable 60s cream wool shift dress that would have probably spent more time hanging on my wall than on my person.

  

Coiffeur, 32, Rue des Rosiers, 75004

A renowned vintage store on  the famous falafel street en plein quartier juif. Not really worth the hype, a little granny's-wardrobe-style.

Finish with delicious falafel on Rue des Rosiers........!
