Focus: Re-launch of my favourite blog...Wearing It Today

So, I have been following Laura Fantacci's blog Wearing it Today [or more often known as WIT] for some time now...it's really inspiring and caters for every woman.

Laura updates the blog regularly with amazing style tips, finds and inspiration and links to her Instagram where she often snaps her gorgeous little girl, Greta Zita. You can follow her on Instagram and Twitter @witblog.

Statement earrings have long been a trend, yet have seen a recent resurgence with the rise in popularity of US high street giant, J.Crew – who open their doors to London shoppers in November with the opening of a flagship store on Regent Street and two boutiques in the city.

My favourite bauble earrings come from designers including Shourouk and Tom Binns – you can find these at Net-a-Porter. However, there are equally great options available on the high street in the UK from brands including Accessorize, Kurt Geiger, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Coast.

These look best paired with a simple grey marl tee [you can find plenty at GAP, J.Crew and Uniqlo] and bold skirt or 7/8^th trousers, finished with a pair of pointed flats or ankle strap heels.   

Trending: Faux Fur

Over the past few seasons, there has been a growing trend for faux fur - from Celine's Big Bird fur heels for SS13...

...to Louis Vuitton's be-wigged doll-like models who paraded the catwalk in their négligée with what looked like their Grandmothers' fur coats draped on their shoulders....

And Marc Jacobs' pastiche of a fox wrap, sported by Cara Delevingne, complete with black pixie crop...

Personally I prefer the 'less is more' approach when it comes to fur and love this understated long faux fur gilet from Zara.

Focus: Odette NY

I recently discovered this beautiful jewellery brand Odette NY.

Stocked internationally, Odette NY is my new go-to jewellery brand for unique, delicate pieces.

The pieces look beautiful stacked and come in all shades of silver and gold.

Trend: Kilts

The popularity of the skort [see Zara for case in point] outperformed all expectations this summer and its sister staple, the kilt, is here to stay for autumn winter. 

Kilts have long been a key style staple in women's wardrobes, from school days to the office and are synonymous with Britishness [or more correctly, Scottishness].

Wedding Details

This weekend it was my lovely friend Rachel's wedding at her family's beautiful Georgian home in a village in the Midlands.
