Focus On: Arthus Bertrand

I stumbled across Arthus Bertrand via Vogue.fr. An iconic Parisian jeweller just a stone's throw from Les Deux Magots in St Germain, the Arthus Bertrand house has been making fine jewellery since 1803.

A princess ring, this features a one carat solitaire encased by a white gold crown containing white diamonds. Arthus Bertrand specialises in engagement rings and draws on fairy tales and fantastical elements to create the jewellery of your dreams….

Wedding Dresses: Laure de Sagazan

This blog makes no effort to hide my love of everything French. From destinations to interiors, style to language, I am a Francophile through and through, which is why I was so excited to come across this amazing French bridal designer Laure de Sagazan.

Stocked at The Mews Notting Hill, which I am soon to visit, Laure de Sagazan gives vintage-style French lace a contemporary update for the modern bride, with certain pieces that can be worn as separates later down the line.

Not to mention the atmospheric, inspiring imagery...

A favourite of Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley, Kate Moss and Kate Bosworth, Marant's back and she's going nowhere. Her collection is pivotal to this season's trends, with her SS12 range spearheading a vogue for fringing, mosaic patterns, bright colours and cocoon shapes.

With knitwear, dresses and shorts making up the collection, Isabel Marant for Spring Summer 2012 is wearable and totally covetable. The friendship bracelets launched for Spring are set to have a huge fashion following.

Thanks Isabel Marant for making me want to wear colour!

Seeing Treble

Seeing treble. Vogue Paris Editor, Emmanuelle Alt and her fellow Voguettes. Ici on la voit répétée trois fois!

While Vogue Paris editors have always had a distinct style, Emmanuelle Alt's is one that has inspired designers and fashionistas alike. Her iconic style inspired the overhaul of Balmain, which drew from her pointed shoulder and skinny cropped pencil trousers silhouette.

Paris in August

A lovely weekend spent staying in the West of Paris by the Trocadero, wandering around Montmartre, sauntering around the Marais, eating out at a chocolate-inspired gourmet restaurant in Saint Germain and soaking in Rue Montorgueil, with a little Louvre, Tuileries and Sacré Coeur thrown in....review of Un Dimanche a Paris (6eme) to follow.

Dream Paris

All I'm doing at the moment is dreaming about Paris...its fashion, streets and delicacies. I'm going in three weeks with my boyfriend and cannot wait. One of my best friends is also moving out there at the end of August to start a fashion headhunting job, excited to see her new flat.

Living in London, I miss particular things about Paris such as its romance, the classicism of daily dressing, its café culture and the beautiful skyline. I was only saying the other day how I prefer the speed of life in Paris, where people chill with a drink in the evening and spend 2 hours having lunch.

My own Paris photos to follow end of August...
