'The latest fashion personality to earn the museum treatment is Marc Jacobs.
Paris’s Musée des Arts Decoratifs announced that it plans to mount an exhibition of the designer’s work for Louis Vuitton, considered in tandem with designs from the French brand’s founder and namesake.
Chief Curator Pamela Gobin will focus next year’s show on two key periods in design history as seen through the two men’s work: the industrial revolution in the 19th century, as epitomised by Vuitton’s trunks, and fashion globalisation a la Jacobs.' ELLE
